LG officially announced its second Android powered smartphone, the GT540. LG states the device focuses about social networking and that it’s a perfect device for first-time smartphone buyers.
The LG GT540 includes a 3 MP camera with auto-focus, Android 2.0, a 3.5mm earphone jack, and an appealing industrial design that has chrome-colored accents and rounded edges. Users can customize the phone to their liking with its personalized themes, widgets, and four different color variations.
What makes the GT540 smartphone exciting is that this may be the first LG Android phone to arrive to United States shores. LG plans to launch the phone globally in April 2010, pricing and carrier data are as of yet unavailable.
